Aftercare for Laser Tattoo Removal

  • After your tattoo removal session we will apply aloe vera gel and a protective patch to the area.

    You can keep the patch in place for the rest of the day, allowing the aloe vera to continue cooling the area.

    Once you remove the patch, continue applying aloe vera gel to the area a few times a day for the first 2 days.

    After the first 2 days we recommend using Sk!n Tattoo Aftercare Cream for 2 weeks. This product is available to purchase from the studio.

    Make sure your hands are always clean when applying any cream or gel, or generally touching the treated area.

    • Swelling

    • Blistering

    • Redness

    • Itching

    If you are swollen please apply ice to the area and elevate as best you can. Ice can be applied for 5 minute intervals with 10 minute breaks in between.

    If any blisters form please do not pop or pick at them as this can result in an infection.

    If the area becomes itchy please apply cream/gel.

  • For the 2 weeks following your laser removal appointment, please avoid the following:

    • Swimming

    • Saunas

    • Spas

    • Direct sun exposure

  • Laser tattoo removal is not suitable if you are:

    • Pregnant

    • Breastfeeding

    • On certain medications

    • Have chronic health or skin conditions
